- Interior Architecture Fall 2025 Vertical Studio
- Project Lead
- 11 Weeks, September - December
- Individual Project
- Modelled in Rhino, Hardwood Lumber Construction
Interior Architecture advanced studio exploring furniture design in hardwood lumber. A focused inquiry of material, the relevancy & pursuit of craft, and ergonomics.
Working around a general idea of Shrine, Altar or Display, we were encouraged to discover architectural forms that may not have traditional furniture precedents. Identifying specific objects, such as my special-edition book collection, for display/integration leads to a more customized solution.
Working around a daily ritual or interaction will encourage an ongoing relationship with your piece as it integrates into your space. With a challenge of mandating a wall-hung solution, my original inspiration of a rotating bookshelf took on a new form as a floating nightstand.
